Monday 14th July – School Resumes
Dear Parents,
This is the last newsletter for term two as the term quickly draws to a close. At our School Council meeting on Tuesday night the school community was notified that our Principal, Anne O’Riley, is still not well enough to return to work. This means that I will continue as Acting Principal of this wonderful school community for at least the first part of the term three. I will keep you informed via this newsletter of any news as it becomes available.
June Midyear Reports
Students will receive their June Midyear reports next Monday, followed by Parent Teacher Meetings on Tuesday. The Parent Teacher Meeting is an opportunity to discuss progress with your child and the classroom teacher. Please bring your child’s report (and Learning Report Portfolios for level 4 students) to these meetings.
Farewell to Sam Ebsworth
Sam will finish as our OOSH (Out Of School Hours) program coordinator on the last day of term to concentrate on her studies. We wish her all the best for her future career and thank her for the hard work she has done for the OOSH program. Sam will continue to have contact with the program as a leader. The School Council is currently interviewing for the position and an announcement will be made before the end of term.
Environment Day
The Enviro Student Group successfully planned and held an Environment Day with a Hippy theme on June 5. Students and teachers dressed up in bright clothes, fringed vests, headbands and peace signs. We held a Hippy parade and gave Hippy awards. The students raised about $80.00 to save Koalas. Well done Enviros!
